97th ANNUAL CONNEMARA PONY SHOW

The CPBS have continuously monitored the evolving situation around Covid 19, including vaccination rates, variants, statistics and Government advice. Also, as the show centres on the town of Clifden the CPBS have been in consultation with the local authorities. It is not possible to predict the situation in September and so, with the ongoing circumstances, restrictions and levels of uncertainty regarding the re-opening of Irish society safely, it has been decided, albeit very reluctantly, that the 97th Annual Connemara Pony Show, must be postponed to August 2022. The CPBS Council have held out as long as possible before taking this step and feel it is the responsible decision in the prevailing situation. Sadly, it has had to be made sooner rather than later as firm preparations for a September show would have begun, of necessity, this week.

The CPBS acknowledge the ongoing support of our sponsors and the enthusiasm of our members during this difficult time. We look forward to welcoming everybody back in 2022, particularly understanding that the Annual Connemara Pony Show is a highlight in many a calendar. The proposed date for the 97th Annual Connemara Pony Show, as approved by Council, is during the week beginning Monday August 15th 2022.
